~Kate's POV~
One extremely hot afternoon, I was out fixing fences in order to escape Talla's harassment, unfortunetly I had forgotten my water bottle back in the tack room. I would go get it but Talla wouldn't let me escape her so easily next time, and it was getting to my breaking point.....my feelings for Archer were strong and his persistent but subtle affections for me were starting to become noticeable to Talla. One time I was graining the horses when Archer came up behind me and placed his hands on my waist pulling me gently back into his chest, normally I would play along with Archer since I was now comfortable around him. But he didn't know about my past....anyways, Talla saw this and threw a tantrum in the middle of the barn. But it was to great a risk to go back and get my water bottle...but it was sooooo hot!
I wiped sweat from my forehand and sighed heavily, I wished I hadn't forgotten it! As I went to grab another nail from Hellyan's saddle bag, I heard hooves approaching at a gallop, looking around I saw Archer and Timber coming towards me, Hellyan whinnied to Timber who replied. I smiled as he rode up beside me.
"Hey, what are you doing out here? It's like 40 degrees" Archer laughed dismounting, I motioned to the fence.
"Someone's gotta fix em'" I replied, he laughed and nodded then pulled something out of his own saddle bag, it was my water bottle.
"Yeah well, you might get heat stroke. Here, I thought you could use it after you've been gone for so long" He said tossing it to me, I caught it with a grateful smile.
"My hero" I laughed before taking a look refreshing drink, Archer rolled his eyes with his famous handsome smile.
"I know I am, what would you do without me" He replied with a dramatic tone.
"You're a goof, now are you gonna help me with these fences?" I asked, he shook his head gesturing towards Hellyan.
"Nope, my uncle told me to collect you, it's to hot right now to be working so exposed to the sun" Archer explained, I nodded and put my water bottle back in my bag.
"I'm not gonna argue with that" I stated swinging up into my saddle, Archer remounted and we walked along the fence line together back towards the barn, normally we would race but it was to hot. Man I owed this boy big time, he was my hero today because I would have worked until I got heat stroke for sure! What would I ever do without him?

That IS NOT how you hold reins in any circumstance when riding a horse. Trust me I horse ride. This will only spook the horse or just really annoy the horse.
